CLOUGH PRAISE FOR 'OUTSTANDING' GOAL
DERBY County manager Nigel Clough gave his thoughts following last night's game at Pride Park.
Clough told www.dcfc.co.uk: "It's another game where we feel we have played well, but again taken nothing from it. We find it baffling that this has happened again and clearly we need to start turning these positive displays into positive results.
"There is no doubt that we deserved to be in front at half time, but got caught by a wonder goal.
"We came very close to getting a second and if we had of doubled our lead I think we would probably have won the game comfortably.
"Barnsley's first goal was an outstanding effort; a sucker punch and probably their first on our goal during the game.
"But that's the way it is going for us at the moment. The second and third goals were poor defending on our part and we have to do better.
"We are disappointed to have lost but not down hearted because again the performance was good".
