ROBINS WAITS ON JAMAL

Posted on: Mon 14 Sep 2009

BARNSLEY manager Mark Robins faces an anxious wait to find out just how long Jamaican international winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce will be on the sidelines.

Jamal suffered a freak eye injury during Saturday's defeat at Watford after being hit in the face by the ball and will have a further scan later today.

Mark told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk: "We think Jamal will be out for between ten and 14 days. He will go for a second ultrasound today to make sure there is not a detached retina although his first scan was clear.

"It was just a freak accident but hopefully he will only be out for ten days or so".
