JACKSON DISAPPOINTED

Posted on: Wed 12 Aug 2009

LINCOLN City manager Peter Jackson gave his thoughts following last night's cup clash at Sincil Bank.

Jackson said: "I thought Kovacs was magnificent tonight but he'll be remembered for that one slip which has cost us. I can't fault my players for the football they played, the effort and desire. It's just disappointing to go out through a mistake.

"They're an established championship club, we knew it was going to be hard but I can be proud of my players and I think the reaction of the supporters at the end suggests they were pleased as well. I'm delighted with the performance but disappointed to slip out of the cup."
