FULL TIME FROM THE CORAL WINDOWS STADIUM

BRADFORD CITY 0
BARNSLEY 2 (Foster 31, Macken 61)

STEPHEN Foster and Jon Macken grabbed the goals as the Reds continued their unbeaten run through pre-season with victiry at Bradford.

The Reds could have been in front inside seven minutes when Bobby Hassell's long throw gave Jamal Campbell-Ryce half a chance in the City area but the winger mistimed his shot and the ball flew wide.

In form striker Kayode Odejayi had his first sniff of a chance on 14 minutes as he let fly but his shot deflected through to McLaughlin off Daniel Bogdanovic. City broke well and ex-Red Michael Boulding had a great chance to open the scoring moments later but his shot drifted wide of the post with Luke Steele struggling to cover.

Boulding, who enjoyed a mixed spell at Oakwell, again had the better of the Reds defence on 24 minutes but this time Steele was in the right place to make a decent stop.

A foul on Martin Devaney gave the Reds a great chance two minutes later. Colace's free kick beat the wall and left the keeper stranded but flew just wide of the post.

Colace's set pieces were causing City all sorts of problems and the midfielders' delivery was spot on again on 31 minutes as his corner found Foster and the Reds' skipper made no mistake with a well placed header.

City were almost level just five minutes after the restart when Jonathan Bateson's cross found Peter Thorne in space. The striker failed to hit the target.

Substitute Jon Macken wrapped things up for the Reds on the hour mark as he took on Jacob Butterfield's outstanding pass before beating McLaughin.

Odejayi almost made it three on 68 minutes as he found a yard to turn onto Campbell-Ryce's cross. The striker almost did everything right but saw his well-struck shot saved.

Leon Osborne almost grabbed one back for City on 80 minutes after nicking the ball off Bobby Hassell but his low shot was a foot or so wide of the post.
