POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries in a collision near Elsecar.

A silver/black Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle was travelling along Water Lane from Elsecar towards Wentworth when it collided with a silver Vauxhall Zafira at the junction with Burying Lane and Barrow Field Lane.

The Zafira was travelling from Wentworth towards Hoyland along Barrow Field Lane before the collision happened at 5.35pm on 16 March 2009.
