APPEAL FOR INFORMATION

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a road collision in Wombwell left a five-year-old boy with serious injuries.

A red Volkswagen Fox was travelling along Wilson Street towards Aldham House Lane when it collided with the boy at 5.20pm on Saturday 21 March 2009.

The boy was taken to Barnsley District General Hospital with serious injuries having sustained a broken rib and broken leg.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to phone the South Yorkshire Police witness help line on 0114 220 2970.
