A VERY young and inexperienced Barnsley side battled bravely but were two goals down at the break at Leeds United.

United were on top from the start but it took until just after the half hour for the hosts to find the breakthrough when Ben Parker's cross found Amercian Mike Grella and the Whites trialist made no mistake.

Leeds grabbed a second less than two minutes later after the ball broke kindly for Neil Kilkenny and the midfielder lashed one in from 20-yards.
