BARNSLEY Football Club and returning main club sponsors, Barnsley Building Society are pleased to announce the launch of the new junior version of the exclusive supporters savings affinity account, Reds Saver.

Suitably named Junior Reds Saver, the account will be of interest to all junior supporters under the age of 16.

Offering a great rate of interest at 4.50 per cent gross, as most savers won't be eligible for tax, and instant access to their balance, the Club and the Society feel that this will offer a great opportunity for parents to get their youngsters saving for their future.

Junior account holders will receive a number of incentives linked to the Club which will include a birthday card from the Team, which will be signed by the Club captain, plus in coming months, there will be access to mascot packages and possible training days too.

Marketing Manager for the Society, Samantha Cameron-Carruthers adds, 'This new account launch is a great start to our continued sponsorship of the Club and offers juniors a unique way to become involved with the Club, whilst saving for their own future at a great rate of interest"

'We have also taken the opportunity to enhance the existing Reds Saver account so that all account holders now get priority booking for away games and as we move into the start of the season there will be a number of exclusive opportunities for account holders to become part of.'

Don Rowing, Barnsley FC's General Manager, commenting on the new account said, "This is a fantastic initiative from Barnsley Building Society that will go a long way in helping us to encourage more youngsters to support the Club, wearing a Barnsley shirt, as well as offering parents and guardians a way to teach their youngsters the value of saving.
