BARNSLEY Academy Manager Ronnie Branson gave his thoughts following Saturday's point at Middlesbrough.

Ronnie told Barnsley World TV: "It was a good point at Middlesbrough. To go away from home at this level and to get a draw is always a good thing.

"We were without Reuben (Noble-Lazarus) as he was away with the first team but we also lost Jamil (Adam) just before the game. Jamil was concussed last week and we left it right to the eleventh hour but we decided not to risk him.

"Those are two big players for us but the other lads came in and did very, very well. The game was played in bad conditions but I felt that we handled that better than Middlesbrough. There was nothing in it in the first half although we created the better chances.

"Middlesbrough scored on 60 minutes but it was a good, well-taken goal and there was no-one really to blame for that. We did well to get back in the game and Alistair Taylor levelled for us ten minutes later.

"There has been a lot of focus on Reuben this week and that has given our lads a lot of belief. They know that if they are good enough they will move up. They know that they have to step up to the plate now".
