TRANSFER WINDOW CLOSED - FOR A WEEK AT LEAST
THE summer transfer window has now closed but Football League clubs will be able to loan players from next week.
Clubs outside the top flight can sign players on an Emergency Loan, lasting for a maximum of 93 days, from Monday September 8, 2008. Football League clubs can only sign players on an Emergency Loan from other English clubs.
Football League clubs can sign players on Emergency Loans until November 24, 2008.
Clubs can still sign players from abroad if they were out of contract prior to the closure of the transfer window (September 1).
No permanent deals can be done however until the January transfer window opens on New Years' Day.
