FORMER Barnsley striker Jon Parkin has completed a permanent switch to Preston.

Preston North End have completed the signing of striker Jon Parkin from Stoke City.
The 6ft 4in hitman made his debut for the Lilywhites in the 2-1 win over Charlton on Saturday under an emergency loan arrangement before completing a permanent deal with the Club on Monday.
The 26-year-old now has two weeks to get to work with his new team-mates before North End's next match away at Coventry City.
