BARNSLEY midfielder Sam Togwell has now completed a switch to League One side Scunthorpe United.

Sam formalised a permanent move to the Glanford Park side on Thursday afternoon after the two clubs agreed a deal earlier this week.

Sam joined the Reds from Crystal Palace in July 2006. Sam's move to Oakwell proved to be a shrewd piece of business as the midfielder impressed throughout the 2006/2007 campaign. He made 46 appearances, netting one goal.

Sam found himself in and out of the side throughout the 2007/2008 campaign and never managed to hold his place for longer than a couple of games. He struggled following the arrival of Anderson de Silva and the emergence of Bobby Hassell as a holding midfielder but still managed to clock up 27 games throughout the season.

He has made 75 appearances for Barnsley, netting two goals.
