REDS keeper Heinz Muller is edging closer to a return to full training after stepping up his rehab work with coach Kelham O'Hanlon in the last week.

Heinz has been sidelined since January after sustaining a serious knee injury but is closing in on a comeback later this summer.

Reds physio Matt Konopinksi told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk: "Heinz has been doing a lot of running work in the first week of pre-season training. He has also done some functional football work as well as a goalkeeping session with Kelham.

"He is heading in the right direction and is very happy and confident. He is exactly where he should be at this stage.

"We have to make sure that we do not rush him and we are not putting a date on his comeback just yet. He is still doing well but we are not working to a timeframe at the moment".
