BARNSLEY manager Simon Davey has spoken of his shock after seeing youngster Michael Coulson ruled out for up to eight months with cruciate ligament damage.

Speaking exclusively to www.barnsleyfc.co.uk, Simon said: "It is devastating for everybody here. There was nothing in it and no-one really near him.

"Michael just went over and caught his stud in the turf. It is another freak accident and we seem to have had a lot of them this season.

"It could be between six and eight months for Michael and that is very hard to take".
