McCANN TO DISCUSS SCUNTHORPE SWITCH

Posted on: Tue 15 Jan 2008

BARNSLEY midfielder Grant McCann is set to discuss a move to Scunthorpe United after the two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee for the Northern Ireland international.

The Reds had rejected Scunthorpe's initial bid earlier this month but the Glanford Park side have returned with an increased offer and this has been accepted. However, the deal is still subject to Grant agreeing personal terms with the Glanford Park outfit.

Grant arrived at Oakwell in November 2006 initially on loan from Cheltenham Town and has clocked up 44 first team appearances, netting four goals. Grant has won nine caps for Northern Ireland.
