DAVEY CONFIRMS McCANN BID

BARNSLEY manager Simon Davey has confirmed that the Reds have turned down a bid from Scunthorpe United for midfielder Grant McCann.
Simon told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk: "I can confirm that Scunthorpe have made a bid for Grant but that was turned down as it was below our valuation of the player".
Grant joined the Reds from Cheltenham Town, initially on loan, in November 2006 and has gone on to make 43 appearances for the Club, netting four goals.
