BARNSLEY 3 (Odejayi 2, McCann)

BARNSLEY picked up their first pre-season victory with an excellent display against a very good Portuguese side at the Estadio Algarve capped by another two goals for in-form striker Kayode Odejayi.

The Reds again started slowly and were a goal behind early on but responded well and Kayode Odejayi finished superbly from close range to level things up midway through the first half.

Grant McCann then added a stunning second before the Reds were again pegged back by the Portuguese Second Division side.

Simon Davey's men were not to be denied and Odejayi bagged his second of the game and the winner after the break.
