REDS boss Mark Robins gave his thoughts ahead of the clash with Watford.

Mark told Barnsley Player: "It was a great performance at Preston and everybody - to a man - played really well. It all contributed to a really good team performance and we needed to do that after Reading. It was like chalk and cheese between Saturday and Tuesday. The two new lads gave us a lift, which I knew they would, and we performed really well to get a big three points.

"Filipe (Teixeira) and Jay (Rodriguez) are two quality players and we saw that on Tuesday night. Those lucky enough to be there saw exactly what they can bring to our squad. Filipe was only introduced to the lads just before kick off and it was one of the best debuts I have ever seen. He was excellent.

"Jay will go on to become a top player and we saw a cameo of that on Tuesday. He got a goal which will really help him settle in here. That was a big plus for him.

"We need to build on that now. We were outstanding but we now have a home game and we have to make that count. We have to come away with three more points. There are a lot of good things to take into Saturday and we have a lot to live up to now. If the players can continue to believe in themselves in the way I do then I am sure they will continue that.

"It was not about a formation. It was all about our passing, control, movement and goals. We had all of that on Tuesday night and we will still have the same on Saturday but we have to believe in ourselves.

"Watford picked up a great result on Tuesday night when they beat Sheffield United. We have to go out there and make them work extremely hard for anything they are going to get from the game, including stringing two passes together. We will be looking for a similar performance as we saw the other night.

"This is all going back to my first game in charge really when we did not do ourselves justice. We will be looking to do ourselves justice here on Saturday.

"We are raising the standards and enjoying that at the moment. We have to maintain that and if we can then it bodes well for the rest of the season. People can talk about what they like but all we are talking about is Watford and getting another three points.

"Bobby Hassell has trained this week but is still feeling a little sore. He has no chance for Saturday but will probably be ok for next week".
