We're delighted to announce our official Wembley charity song Wembley by 'Will.I.Nivver' which has been produced by a group of lifelong Reds supporters! The eight track album will be available for fans to purchase around town and from the Reds Superstore in time for our upcoming home game against Scunthorpe United. 100% of profits raised to be donated to Barnsley Independent Alzheimer's and Dementia Support (BIADS).
This fantastic charity initiative comes thanks to four passionate, lifelong Reds fans from four corners of the Yorkshire region who recently stumbled across some of each other’s tweets! Norbert wrote about re-releasing an old Barnsley FC song for charity. Matt liked the suggestion and Andy suggested recording a new one. His mate told him it was possible. People on the Barnsley FC forum then suggested other songs. Those people sent their tracks along with permissions from the creators...and it has now evolved into an 8 track album, featuring Barnsley songs from the last 20 years and a brand new track recorded especially for Wembley by 'Will.I.Nivver'!
The album has now been made available for Reds fans to buy and 100% of profits raised will be donated to BIADS, the Barnsley Independent Alzheimers and Dementia Support Service.

About Barnsley Independent Alzheimer's and Dementia Support (BIADS).
Barnsley Independent Alzheimer's and Dementia Support (BIADS) is committed to achieving better outcomes for people with dementia and their carers in the metropolitan borough of Barnsley. In November 2013 they opened a dedicated dementia support centre, a central resource centre for our members, somewhere where everyone knows your name and your 'story', where there is access to activities, support, information and advice, where members have ownership of the space and use it to improve the quality of their lives. BIADS provides, at the centre and in the wider community, services for people with dementia and their carers that will help them to live well with dementia in Barnsley and also works in partnership with local statutory services. They have a place on the Barnsley Dementia Strategy Monitoring Group so that they can ensure that all of the objectives of the national strategy are addressed within the agreed local plan. They currently provide twenty services ranging from advice, information and emotional support to circle dancing, singing, gym sessions and holidays and the list continues to grow. They will continue these much needed services and also work to provide more innovative support in line with the needs of members.
