Scott Wiseman has today departed Oakwell by mutual consent.
The defender joined Barnsley from Rochdale in the summer of 2011 and made 111 appearances in all competitions for the Reds.
Reds Manager Danny Wilson told the press this morning, “We wish him all the best and it’s the way things work out in football, we just needed to freshen things up.”
Barnsley Football Club would like to wish Scott the best of luck in his future career.
