Barnsley Football Club have completed the signing of Egyptian International Mido on a one year contract. Having played for some of the top clubs around Europe and having proved to be a consistent goalscorer, the signing of Mido represents an exciting addition to the team.
Mido has also played 51 times at senior level for Egypt scoring 20 goals.
Mido first came to prominence in English football when he came to Tottenham in 2005 and scored two goals on his debut against Portsmouth.
Both Keith Hill and David Flitcroft have worked hard over the summer to attract Mido to Oakwell and Hill, commenting on the deal said, "It's a great signing for the football club and for the profile of the Club.
"I am looking forward to working with a player of exceptional talent. There will be plenty of work to be done and that will be a reflection of what we will see on match day. We can't wait to get going."
The deal is subject to International clearance.
