Hull City's left back defender Joe Dudgeon has today signed for Barnsley on a month's loan.

Dudgeon, who was a second half substitute in Hull's 1-1 draw at Oakwell on Saturday, will be keen to get plenty of game time under his belt. Barnsley are set to play a minimum of six competitive matches during his month loan spell at Oakwell.

Speaking to the Club website Dudgeon said, "I'm delighted that I have been given this opportunity. As soon as I was told about the interest it was good to get down here and get involved. It's good to know that people wanted me and it was a chance I could not turn down.

"With the month loan I'll hopefully get five or six games in which will be great for my legs and hopefully I'll be able to bring something to the squad."
