Goalkeeper Joins Reds
Goalkeeper Iain Turner has joined Barnsley on a deal until the end of the season. The 30-year-old free agent has been on trial with the Reds for the past two weeks, and today penned a short-term deal at Oakwell.
Speaking to barnsleyfc.co.uk, Iain said, "I've been out injured for the last couple of seasons, only recently I've got myself back fit.
"Luke's number one for a reason, he's a very, very good 'keeper. Every team needs a few 'keepers - push each other, bit of banter, and I'm here to push Luke on. Hopefully, if I get a chance, I'll show what I can do as well."
Turner began his career with Stirling Albion before securing a move to Everton in 2003 and spent nine years at Goodison Park, turning out for nine different clubs out on loan.
