Danny's MK Dons Reaction

24 January 2015

Reds boss Danny Wilson gave his thoughts after today's 2-0 defeat at MK Dons.

"We were, arguably, in the best part of our play (when MK Dons scored)," said Wilson. "We came out quite strong and confident. We got on the ball very well, it's just one mistake and that's been costing us in recent games.

"There's a ball played into the box, it's been headed out and we've not got to the second ball. They're the fine details as well that make the difference. It's a bit of a scuffed shot from Alli as well, it's a bit of a miss-hit off his left foot but it creeps in. They're the key moments that change games.

"There's two moments that have been the difference. In the early part of the game I thought we did very well. We got in great areas, we nipped things and stopped them coming through the middle of us and stepped out on the counter-attack really well.

"I thought we defended very well. But it's just a diagonal ball that's beaten us (for the second goal).

"I can't legislate for decision-making. We've got to believe and take some confidence from large parts of the game today.

"They were getting quite frustrated. Any team that gets themselves into that position at 2-0 up would pop the ball about.

"There are parts of that game today where I felt we were going to come out with something.

"In most areas we did okay today, without being outstanding.

"It's a learning curve for most of the team that's out there."
