Danny's Fleetwood Reaction

10 February 2015

Reds boss Danny Wilson gave his thoughts following tonight's 2-1 defeat to Fleetwood Town.

"I thought we started really well," said Wilson. "We were really at it. We put them on the back foot when we got the goal early on. It was a great time. Then we just seemed to get quite nervous and anxious at times.

"We've seen the goal come out of nothing. It's one ball from a set-play that's come out of the box and their lad's rattled it back in.

"The second one's another set-play. We're looking at the picking up and the marking like last week - it's people falling asleep and it's criminal."

The Reds' fifth-minute lead, courtesy of Peter Ramage, was overturned by two goals in the first half.

"I don't think either 'keeper's had many saves to make quite honestly," continued Wilson. "But we had enough chances. We had a couple of great chances to get ourselves level, which we didn't take.

"We saw everybody gets anxious, the crowd gets anxious.

"We thought the full-back areas were where the space was and we weren't exploiting them in the first half so we needed some pace out wide.

"I felt we started being a bit jittery. Everybody wants to see your team winning at home. We've just lost away at Swindon last week and again at home. The inconsistency's there to be seen. What they want is consistency and it's what we want. I have to say it's never going to be easy to get that consistency. We'll have to wait and be patient, it's a watchword that's a premium at this moment in time."
