Danny's Coventry Reaction

19 August 2014

Reds Manager Danny Wilson caught up with the press following his side's 2-2 draw away at Coventry City.

"It's a brilliant point for us," said Wilson. "The first half, in particular, we were very fortunate to be in the game, if I'm honest. But you have to take that luck.

"The second half we were much better. We were more compact and looked more of a threat.

"The first half, they got through us and cut through us to play in those pockets.

"The first goal was unfortunate because we'd just had a great chance.

"We saw two very committed teams who both wanted to win the game but both had to settle for the point.

"Anything away from home is a point. The way the game wore on, it's a pleasing point for us."

All the goals came in the first half, with Barnsley's first equaliser a splendid free-kick from Conor Hourihane that found the top corner.

"He's got a terrific left foot," said Wilson on Hourihane. "That's a threat for you. We've seen it on a couple of occasions already this season. He's got a terrific technique. He's got us back in the game because it stunned Coventry a little bit."

The Reds are next in action at Oakwell this Saturday we Gillingham visit Oakwell.
