BFC gets behind the Bobby Moore Fund 'Football Shirt Friday'!

13 April 2015

On Friday 17th April Barnsley Football Club is proud to be supporting the Bobby Moore Fund ‘Football Shirt Friday’! All staff at the Club will get behind the campaign by wearing a football shirt to work on the day. Why not get involved yourself and invite your colleagues to take part in 'Football Shirt Friday'? It costs just £2 to take part, with all proceeds going to the Bobby Moore Fund.

"Cancer Research UK’s Bobby Moore Fund are targeting the UK public to wear their football colours on 17th April and make a donation to help beat bowel cancer sooner. No matter who you support, our only opposition on this day is bowel cancer.  44 people every day die of bowel cancer in the UK, equivalent to 4 football teams and it is the second biggest killing cancer.  The key to beating bowel cancer is funding life-saving research. So hunt out that retro classic, pull on this season’s kit or brave the challenge of wearing a rival shirt with your colleagues, family and friends and help beat bowel cancer together.”
