Aidy White Signs for the Reds

8 January 2016

Barnsley Football Club is delighted to confirm Aidy White has signed at Oakwell on a deal to the end of the season.

White was released from his contract at Rotherham United earlier today, and the midfielder - who has been operating at left-back for the Reds - joins Lee Johnson’s side as a permanent player to the end of the current campaign.

The 24-year-old put in a string of impressive displays across a seven-appearance loan spell at Oakwell since his initial arrival in late November from the Millers.

White told barnsleyfc.co.uk “I’m pleased to get it all sorted and can’t wait to get going again. I’ve really enjoyed my time here so far and we’ve picked up some good results.

“We’ve got a good side here and I’m sure we will climb the league even more and we have a great shot at reaching Wembley.”

Yorkshire-born White helped the Reds pick up four wins as well as playing his part in our Johnstone’s Paint Trophy run to the Area Final.
