PREVIEW: Barnsley Under 18s vs Nottingham Forest Under 18s

4 November 2016

All the key information ahead of tomorrow's academy clash.

Barnsley Under 18s play host to Nottingham Forest Under 18s tomorrow in the Professional Development League at Oakwell.

Chris Howarth and Martin Devaney's side are unbeaten in their last six matches, winning three, including staging a dramatic late comeback to beat Birmingham City 3-2 last time out.

Barnsley are fifth in the Northern section of the Professional Development League on 18 points, and have lost just one game this season.

Victory tomorrow could take the Reds into second place in the table above their opponents, but they would require a landslide victory in order to do so.

The Reds are hoping to secure their first victory against Nottingham Forest since August 2014, but the Reds will take confidence from their home form having only lost once on their own turf since April.

By comparison, Nottingham Forest have won their last three matches in succession, but have only won twice away from home this season.

They arrive in second place in the table after 11 games and they are the top scorers in the division, having found the net 36 times so far this season, including hitting six last time out against Crystal Palace.

Three defeats from their opening four matches had Forest struggling in the early stages of the season, but they have lost only one of their last seven matches heading into tomorrow’s fixture.

Kick off is at 11am on the Oakwell training pitch and entry is free.
