The Reds U23s will travel to face Portsmouth on Monday 12th September.
Barnsley U23s have been drawn to face Portsmouth in the final qualifying round of the Premier League Cup.The match will take place at Havant & Waterlooville’s Westleigh Park on Monday 12th September with a scheduled 7pm kick-off. Entry for the match is priced at £5 for all supporters.
The competition was previously known as the Under 21s Premier League Cup, but has been changed and adopted a new style for this season.
There are eight groups consisting of four teams. If the Reds progress they will go into Group D, alongside Norwich City, Everton and Wolves.
We would then play all three teams home and away with the top two teams progressing to the knock-out stages.
Barnsley U23s will be back in league action this Friday, September 9th, on the Oakwell playing surface against Ipswich Town. Entry is free for all supporters wishing to attend in the WEST STAND only.
