Barnsley will kick their Sky Bet Championship season off at Ipswich Town on Saturday 6th August.
Derby County will be the first to visit Oakwell for the new season a week later and the Reds' campaign finishes off with a mouth-watering clash at Newcastle United on Sunday 7th May, 2017, with a 12 noon kick-off.
Over the festive period, Barnsley welcome Blackburn Rovers to Oakwell on Boxing Day and will then host Birmingham City on New Year's Eve.
Our first visit to Villa Park since the Premier League season of 1997/98 will be under the floodlights on Valentine's Day (Tue February 14th).
As far as Yorkshire derbies are concerned, the first of the season is away at Huddersfield on Saturday 20th August before Rotherham visit Oakwell a week later.
