Latest Reds signing Tom Bradshaw spoke exclusively to Barnsley Player HD after completing his move to Oakwell today!
The former Walsall FC and current Wales International forward has signed a three-year deal with the Club and will join up with his new team mates immediately.
Bradshaw gave his feelings on signing for the Reds, as well as details on his conversation with Head Coach Paul Heckingbottom.
“I’m over the moon to get the deal over the line,” stated Bradshaw. “It’s a massive club. I’m very excited to get started, meet the lads and show them what I can do.”
Bradshaw continued, “I met him (Paul Heckingbottom) for the first time yesterday, he was brilliant. He introduced me into the way they like to play, their philosophy and what he expects from me this season, what he expects from the team, and his masterplan to attack the Championship!”
Bradshaw is a familiar figure to the Reds fans and players alike after facing Heckingbottom’s team four times last season!
Bradshaw said, “Obviously playing here a few times in the last couple of seasons, I know the fans are brilliant, the atmosphere is brilliant and it’s a club I want to represent and play for.”
Bradshaw is already an international team player for Wales and he wants to gain more caps following his step-up to Championship football and he gave an insight as to what fans can expect to see from him at Oakwell.
He explained, “That was one of the main reasons I wanted to play Championship football this year, to enhance my career, help Barnsley to kick on as high as we can go in the Championship and give the fans what they want to see!
“I like to think what I bring most is goals. I’m a natural goal-scorer, I like to get into the box and get on the end of crosses, passes, whatever I can do to get the ball into the net.”
