Categorisation system to be implemented for the 2016/17 Sky Bet Championship Season.
Today we announce updates to our match ticket pricing structure based on a categorisation system to be implemented for the upcoming 2016/17 Championship season.
We have adopted a ticket pricing approach which is reciprocal with other Championship clubs. This gives us the best opportunity to compete in the Championship, whilst equally giving supporters the opportunity to get behind the team with a flexible range of ticket prices available. In particular we want to deliver a match ticket structure which encourages the next generation of young supporters into the Club. Young supporters will see no increase in prices at any game.
Moving away from last season’s flat rate structure; for the 2016/17 season there will be a total of five match price categories – A*, A, B, C, D – with each home league fixture to be designated a specific price category. Category A* games will have the highest priced tickets, with Category D games priced the lowest.
For the coming season, ticket prices will be made consistent across all areas of Oakwell Stadium. Therefore ticket prices will be the same in the North, East, South and West Stands.
The price category for each game will be announced in two monthly blocks - for example, all ticket price categories for our home games in August and September will be announced shortly. October and November game categories will be announced in mid-September, etc.
