The spoils were shared at Oakwell on Saturday and our wing-back provided his take for iFollow Barnsley.
"I thought we were good in parts," began the 25-year-old. "I think we started well and then finished well. I think ultimately we could have got the three points.
Next up we travel to Fratton Park on Tuesday night to face league leaders, Portsmouth. O'Keeffe believes the challenge will be the perfect stage to test the Reds as we come to the end of the season.
"Our away form has been good this season. It'll be no better than to go and secure it in a way there and make a statement. Then get confidence going into the play-offs. That's what we'll be looking to do."
