The Barnsley boss is hopeful his side can pick up from their professional display at Chester in the FA Cup 2nd Round replay on Tuesday night, which saw them emerge 3-0 victors.
"The performance was just what we know we can do, that's the frustrating part of it," said Wilson. "We've had those performances this season and then all of a sudden, we've fallen off for whatever reason.
"Now's the time of the year for no excuses. We know each other well enough. The players know each other well enough. We know what's expected and what the fans expect of us, we produced that on Tuesday and we've got to replicate it on Saturday.
"We'd like to keep winning away from home but, more importantly, we want to keep winning at home. That's where any team will gain their strength from. The bits and bobs picked up away from home are a bonus. You want to make yourself as difficult to beat at home as you can be.
"We know we're up against a tough team but, maybe the penny's dropped on Tuesday night. If we play like that and have the attitude and application we showed, we should be okay for the rest of the season."
As far as the injury list is concerned, Wilson was pleased that defender Peter Ramage made it through Tuesday night's match, even though he took another knock - this time to the forehead - for his troubles.
"We'll expect to be very similar at the weekend," added Wilson. "I don't think there'll be many changes.
"Maybe the bench will be filled with different personnel.
"Peter Ramage took a whack to the head and had stitches. We'll look at that one closely.
"Marcello is back from international duty and will be available this weekend."
Meanwhile, the Barnsley boss confirmed loanee Ryan Williams has had surgery on a hernia meaning he returns to parent club Fulham.
Turning his attention to Orient, Wilson continued. "What we know and what we're very accustomed to in the last two or three years is that they've always been a very, very tough side.
"They were very unlucky in the Play-Offs last season. The injection of new owners has brought in wealth in terms of what personnel they bring into the squad.
"They've got one or two injuries but they have players in there that they can call upon. Are they in a false position in the table? I think they are. It's only a matter time until they go on a run to propel themselves up the league.
"I think they're one of the best equipped squads. We don't underestimate them. It's going to be a hard task"
