Prolific 23-year-old striker joins from Walsall on a three-year contract.
Barnsley Football Club are thrilled to announce the signing of Tom Bradshaw after the Reds agreed an undisclosed fee with Walsall for the highly sought after striker.
The 23-year-old front man has today signed a three-year-contract at Oakwell in what represents a major signing for the Club ahead of the 2016/17 Sky Bet Championship Season.
The Shrewsbury born striker moved to Walsall in June 2014 where he has gone on to grow his reputation in the game. Bradshaw signs from last season’s Play-Off rivals Walsall having scored a total of 40 goals in 87 appearances in a two-year spell with the Saddlers, including a goal against the Reds back in March 2016.
Bradshaw has also represented Wales at Under 19, Under 21 and Senior Level. His consistent goal scoring form and impressive performances for Walsall last season earned him a call up to the full Wales International squad and he went on to make his full international debut against Ukraine in Kiev in March 2016. Bradshaw was strongly tipped to make the Wales Euro 2016 squad until a minor injury ahead of the tournament unfortunately ruled him out.
Reds Head Coach Paul Heckingbottom stated, “Tom will fit in well with our playing philosophy. We want to play two up front and Tom will add undoubted strength to our strike force. He is a clever player with an eye for goal. I am sure he will become a fans’ favourite.”
Speaking exclusively to barnsleyfc.co.uk, Tom Bradshaw said, “I was very impressed with Barnsley last year. The service to the strikers was outstanding. When the chance to join Barnsley came, I jumped at the chance. I like the playing style and I am sure I will fit in. I am raring to go.”
